Osi Trade Rumors

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star Ledger is reporting that the Giants would be interested in moving Osi Umenyiora for the right price. The Giants would likely get calls from teams about Osi if the Giants take South Florida Defensive End Jason Pierr-Paul with the 15th overall pick. Garafolo feels that he could not see the Giants letting their best pass rusher go without having a backup plan. It seems that the Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams were most interested in Umenyiora at the Senior Bowl and scouting combines. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Miami Dolphins are now also interested. Mort reported on his Twitter that he places the odds of a Umenyiora deal at 60/40.

Everyone seems to agree that if Osi is dealt it would be a draft-day deal so we just have to wait and see. If the Giants take a pass rusher with their first round pick, look for this deal to happen and Sayonara Osi.
