Giants Discussed Draft Day Trade of Cofield

NFL.com is reporting that the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints discussed a draft-day trade for defensive tackle Barry Cofield. According to NFL.com, the Saints were willing to give up a second-day pick (either rounds two or three) and discussed a possible contract extension with Cofield, an unrestricted free agent this past offseason. When the Saints and Cofield could not agree to terms, the trade was called off.
